Product Manager

Digital Intent exists to help clients delight their customers and increase operational efficiency through innovative software. The Product Consultant is the glue that holds client engagements together. They are responsible for coordinating with design, engineering and growth to help clients turn an idea into an inspired product that people love to use.

Responsibilities

The Product Consultant is the primary point of contact on an engagement. They are typically staffed on 1-3 projects, depending on size and complexity. Tasks vary depending on the project, but typically include the following:

Product Management:

• Collaborate with clients to ideate, conceptualize, and define product vision for consumer and enterprise/workforce applications.
• Work with customer insight team members to gain insight into user and stakeholder needs.
• Work with internal product, design, and engineering teams to execute and build usable and useful software.
• Counsel the client on product decision-making, protecting product vision, focusing on the right metrics, etc.
• Translate product vision into requirements and instructions for design and engineering teams.
• Stay current on mobile and web trends, technologies, and best practices. Follow emerging trends and technologies (e.g. applications of sensors, big data / machine learning, NLP & computer vision, etc).

Project Management:

• Liaise with clients regarding engagement status, discuss product decisions, maintain roadmaps and project plans.
• Coordinate with project teams to define and estimate development timelines and identify dependencies and areas of risk to be considered in project planning.
• Ensure teams are tracking against timelines, deliverables, hours and budgets.
• Provide regular client updates and act as the primary point of communication.
• Lead internal stand-ups.
• Work within a fast, agile environment.

Account Management:

• Build a strong relationship with the client to understand business goals, KPIs, and organizational structure.
• Look for opportunities to further penetrate client accounts and surface new opportunities.
• Meet with DI management and sales to discuss account renewals, opportunities and risks.

​Requirements

• Comfort level with technology - understanding of platforms, trends, etc.
• Experience designing, developing and releasing applications an enormous plus.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Consulting experience is a plus.
• A programming or UX design background is a plus.
• A degree in any of the above is a plus.
• Understanding of enterprise project management principles, stakeholder management, maintaining budgets, etc.
• Good organizational skills: consistently capturing all open loops, delegating to team members and systematically following up.
• Great communication skills, both with internal and external stakeholders. Able to bridge the gap between client needs and protecting project scope/margin, etc.
• Interest in and proclivity towards growing existing business a huge plus.
• Desire to solve problems and build great things.
